VOLUNTEER ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

MARRIAGE MENTORS

-Marriage mentors receive training in mentoring other couples during a brief Friday evening and Saturday training program.

-Marriage mentors commit to working with one or two assigned couples for 10 hours each over a three-month period.

-During an introductory session, which all participants attend, the marriage mentors explain their availability to participants, explain the process, and assist with completing enrollment forms.

-During the introductory session the marriage mentors also help participants define and prioritize goals and assist in determining if referrals to other outside resources seems necessary.

WORKSHOP SPEAKER

-Each workshop is led by an educational or motivational speaker and two (2) support personnel

-At the workshop, the Columbus Marriage Coalition speaker will:

-Engage audience to think about their marriage

-Deliver content appropriate to the workshop

-Present a true success story

-Describe Columbus Marriage Coalition program

-Close workshop by inviting participants to make a commitment to themselves

SITE COORDINATOR

-Host site assigns site coordinator

-Site Coordinator attends an orientation session - forms are completed in "Host Site Organizational Packet"

-Creates and submits "Site Marketing Plan" document to Susan Shockey

-Schedules workshops by contacting Columbus Marriage Coalition co-coordinators

-Recruits participants from their sites and/or their community to attend various Workshops
