OUR VISION: The Columbus Marriage Coalition envisions happy, healthy, and enduring marriages for all who choose to be married. We will be the stimulus for creating a community where more people choose to marry and those that do are in a strong and healthy marriage that lasts a lifetime.


OUR MISSION: In order to benefit families, the workplace, and the community, the Columbus Marriage Coalition encourages healthy marriages through education and advocacy.

We accomplish our mission through three primary actions:

  • We identify, link, and mobilize resources that support healthy relationships and marriages

      1. Assess what agencies are doing and how the public views marriage
      2. Identify and facilitate training of marriage educators
      3. Identify and unite organizations seeking to strengthen marriages
      4. Coordinate marriage enrichment events

  • We promote awareness of the tenants of healthy relationships and marriages and the availability of resources that empower couples

  • We create public and private environments supportive of healthy relationships and marriages

 


OUR APPROACH: We function in four areas. As a CATALYST, we will be a stimulus behind building and mobilizing community-wide efforts to improve marriage and reduce divorce in Columbus and surrounding areas.

As a CHAMPION, we will promote and be an advocate for marriage and will celebrate marriage success.

As a RESOURCE, we will provide access to local, regional and national programs, events and information that can help equip individuals with knowledge and skills to strengthen their relationships and marriage.

As an EDUCATOR, we will provide training for marriage leaders, as well as relationship and marriage education, and enrichment opportunities for individuals and couples.
